THREE THINGS I DO NOT UNDERSTAND:
1. humanity [It's not alien to me, but I don't have to like it.]
2. monogamy [I don't disagree; I just don't understand it.]
3. hating [Hate, I understand. The action, not so much.]
THREE THINGS ON MY DESK:
1. Mac PowerBook G4
2. correction tape
3. Page-Ups
THREE THINGS I WANT TO DO BEFORE I DIE:
1. learn more languages
2. provide sanctuary
3. raise little ones
THREE THINGS I LIKE ABOUT MY BODY:
1. my eyes
2. my thighs
3. my lips
THREE THINGS I DO NOT LIKE ABOUT MY BODY:
1. very low blood pressure [my extremities tend to fall asleep easily]
2. posture [too much poring over translations by candlelight]
3. being bound to biology [brainwise, not in general]
THREE THINGS I SAY THE MOST:
1. That's just the best/worst thing in the whole world.
2. Tell me about yourself.
3. You know what I like?
THREE PLACES I WANT TO GO: [I've been to these places before, and it's probably not precisely what the author(s) intended, but I'm not stuck on traveling.]
1. Millenium or Stoa
2. the yarn store
3. Farm Sanctuary
THREE NAMES/NICKNAME THAT I GO BY:
1. Milly
2. M
3. My grandpa called me Snicklefritz when I was little.
THREE RECENT ANNOYANCES:
1. leaving books on the back of the couch and then banging your shoulder blades on them when you sit down
2. driving in SF
3. having to re-do my classroom word wall
We enjoyed seeing Forbidden Zone last night at the Lumiere in the City. We went with
davebydesign, and we met
rosefox,
sinboy, and others at the theatre; it was nice to see them all. Richard Elfman spoke afterwards, and
tutordennis won a signed poster. For Rose's explanation summary notes on the film, click here.
threetimes,
tutordennis and I spent some quality time tonight at Bookbuyers, after dining well at Garden Fresh. Tonight's bookstore findings: How Are We to Live? (Peter Singer, signed copy!), Lying: Moral Choice in Public and Private Life (S. Bok), The Gashlycrumb Tinies (Edward Gorey), The Luther Bible of 1534, Illuminations from the British Library, some Dr. Science texts, The Mosaic Idea Book (R. Wates), Huggermugger (the word game), and lots of gorgeous decoupage fodder, including Erotica in Renaissance Art. Can't wait! I have to find a good craft store in the area to stock up on supplies.
And now we've all retired for an evening of debauchery. Well, not quite. We stopped at the Quik Mart (Oh the horror! Madness!) for a forty of OE (Dennis), Boone's Melon Ball (myself), and a forty of MGD (No, Geo, no! Don't do it!). All of which, of course, are being drunk properly out of paper bags.
