Mysterious Amber Steampunk Ring (by CatherinetteRings)

Fellow Etsy Steam Team member Daniel Proulx and his partner Catherine make gorgeous wrapped wire rings. They have a splendidly mechanical look, using natural copper, brass, and gun metal wire (about one meter for each ring). The Mysterious Amber one above is one of my favorites, as I find ancient amber utterly enchanting, and the use of mixed metals mirrors the anachronism inherent in the steampunk genre. Since one of my favorite rings slipped off my finger the other day, bound for parts unknown, these are a very timely find.

The ring is excellent, but what leads me to comment was that yesterday I saw a dance piece to that Tom Waits song you quote here and was trying to remember where I had seen it mentioned lately -- and it's this post, which I come upon again reading with this journal.

So, now you know this urgent news.
