if a cop shot my pets, they'd have to shoot me, i wouldn't stop screaming until they did. (they probably would have already, thinking I was crazy as I attempted to throw myself in front of the gun)

I'm so insanely furious about this. And the article kinda made it seem like it wasn't ok to shoot their dogs *if they were innocent*

no - it was absolutely not ok, at all, even if they were guilty, even if it were something worse than "just pot" - even if they actually had a "no knock" warrant, etc. If they had reason to fear for their lives from the dogs, that's one thing. Shooting a person's dogs as SOP, just to punish or torture them is NOT ok. Fucking bastards. Fucking fucking bastards.

I still can't listen to the musical without hearing you in my head, singing/playing it for me all those years ago, describing each detail of the set and explaining the plot as you went along.

Aw, what a lovely memory. That's very sweet, and how nice of you to share it with me. I had forgotten doing that.

A few years ago I celebrated my birthday by inviting over 15 friends and doing a 15th Anniversary Les Miz party. We dressed up in costumes and performed the entire show together (though we didn't have a turntable, alas). This time I got to play Javert, and perhaps you remember Mark, who played Valjean, and Tim and Allison, who played the Thenardiers? I believe Jerry came as well, though he couldn't stay past the prologue.

We also built a barricake. It was great fun.
