For various reasons, I've been giving some thought recently to how we appear in real life and in our blogs. I identify with several ideologies and affiliations not readily apparent upon meeting me or reading my blog. Due to some recent conversations regarding being visible as a member of such groups or choosing to blend in and affect change from within, I thought it might be interesting to see how people in my life perceive my views. [Brief poll malfunction; if you filled it out earlier, please do so again. Apologies!]

[Poll #1191840]

In addition, [livejournal.com profile] dangerpudding recently posted a charming poll asking readers to identify her current sweeties. I thought I'd do something similar, just for amusement.

Crud. I didn't see the option for Jewish Atheist until after I submitted the poll. Oh well. :)

I marked atheist even after seeing all the options because I don't make a religious distinction between an atheist and a Jewish atheist. When considering ethnicity, I do see a distinction. But the question asked about religion, not ethnicity, or a combination of ethnicity and religion. So interpreting the question that way, you might have chosen the right answer anyway.

You're right that ethnicity has nothing to do with this question.

Perhaps a Jewish Atheist is someone who goes through the religious rituals without any belief behind them. I certainly know people who are culturally Jewish but do not believe in G-d.

if Jewish had been a choice on the ethnicity list I probably would have picked it.
